新・活字ホルダーのお披露目会を築地活字で行いました。
新・活字ホルダー制作者の
廣田さんが実演しつつ、
新・活字ホルダーの特徴、扱い方を丁寧に説明してゆきます。
まずはハンドプレス機を使ったレザーへのプレスから。
少し革を湿らせてから押します。
つぎはプラスチックハンマーを使った打刻。
これは使い古し、摩耗した活字を使う最後の方法。
決して、新しい活字をいきなり叩かないでくださいね。

It is easy to attach hand press machine and NEW TYPE HOLDER if the diameter of screw processes a thing of 8mm and makes an attachment.
